Now here is your chance to say what you really think about the CRC Energy Efficiency Scheme. The government and the Environment Agency are asking for your feedback on the costs of complying with the CRC scheme. If you are affected by the scheme you can take part in an online survey here Deadline is end of August, so don’t delay.
Apparently some 4,295 of you have now submitted detailed reports on your carbon footprint before last month’s deadline. Only 254 failed to comply. The fact so many hit the deadline is remarkable. There has been a lot of catching up going on. But remember submitting the reports are only the start of the battle.
Despite the excellent response, many feel that the scheme is too complex and the costs involved in adhering to the scheme are putting businesses under increased pressures during financially difficult times. However, the government has made it clear that the scheme is still under review and may be simplified at a later date. So, if you want to have your say in the scheme and how it affects you, make your voice heard through the survey and maybe some of your suggestions will be incorporated into a new look CRC Energy Efficiency Scheme.
